September 2026 Astrology: Rooted Healing at the Threshold

September 2026 Astrology

Rebuilding the Warrior: The Grounded Shifts of September 2026 Astrology

If the recent Eclipse Season felt like your nervous system got stuck on a high-frequency vibrate mode for three weeks, take a deep breath. You’ve crossed the threshold. September 2026 astrology invites us to step away from that dizzying pace and into a collective exhale.

As we slide out of the high-velocity chaos of cosmic re-routing, we land softly in the quiet, grounded domain of Virgo. This New Moon isn’t about pushing for more; it’s about subtraction. We need to look at the overwhelming influx of information, emotional clutter, and scattered energy that the Eclipses left us and ask: What actually matters?

Virgo season invites us to get our house in order — both literally and energetically. This is your moment of stillness and calm to sort through the noise. Take this time to refine your daily systems. Think of it as sacred editing. You don’t need to overhaul your entire life overnight. You just need to clear off the desk and tidy up the workflow. Now is the time to reclaim your peace so you can actually hear your own inner voice again.

The New Moon in Virgo: A Clear Shift (September 10)

The stabilizing New Moon in Virgo brings with it some fresh, 0 degree energy. Venus and Mercury are both entering new territory on the same day. A flowing Air trine stimulates the mind as Uranus stations Retrograde in Gemini, Pluto magnifies everything in Aquarius, and the messenger Mercury flies into Libra.

As Hermes lands in the territory of Venus, he’s calling our attention back to the goddess of love, beauty, and fairness. And as Venus enters Scorpio at the same time in preparation for her upcoming Retrograde, she comes face to face with Chiron at 0 degrees Taurus. Everyone is looking back on Venus, and she’s about to do something big.

With Venus stepping out of the warm, sociable fire of Leo and into the Fixed Water of Scorpio, our relational focus sharpens into something much deeper, more piercing, and relentlessly fearless. This isn’t small talk anymore. Venus in Scorpio demands truth, loyalty, and emotional depth.

The New Moon is the beginning, the fallow ground that sets the stage for our Venus Retrograde in Scorpio journey. It’s also the start of a Venusian healing experience of the Taurus-Scorpio axis that begins now and takes us through the year 2033.

Venus in Scorpio & Chiron: Healing Self-Worth & Emotional Vulnerability

We can’t talk about the weight of this New Moon without talking about its central anchor: Venus opposite Chiron. This isn’t a quick, one-off brushing of shoulders. It starts with a protracted 3-hit sequence unfolding across the next four months, and catapults us into a new storyline that ends in seven years. Those three hits are evenly distributed across Autumn (on September 10, October 28, and November 28).

The opposition on September 10th hits at 0 degrees. This locks an intense Venus in Scorpio in gridlock against a steady, unyielding Chiron in Taurus. For years, while Chiron crawled through Aries since 2018, our collective healing work centered on the raw assertion of self. We were carving out independence, defending our boundaries, and learning how to say “I am” without asking for permission first. Many of us made massive, structural life changes during those years — stepping away from old containers, claiming our sovereignty, and building autonomous paths from scratch.

But now that Chiron has stepped foot into Taurus, the terrain shifts to our sense of safety, self-worth, and how we determine value. When Venus in Scorpio — craving absolute depth, transformation, and emotional truth — faces off against Chiron in Taurus, our sore spots around security (emotionally and materially) are laid bare.

The need for reciprocity in relationships will be a key focus for these seven years. It gives us space to practice leaning into trust, even when (and maybe especially when) that completely terrifies us. Emotional vulnerability means laying your heart on the table, allowing yourself to be open to heartbreak in the pursuit of passion and desire. Learning to trust that you’re safe again in the arms of a lover can be a process. Venus in Scorpio gives us the burning incentive to try, while Chiron in Taurus challenges us to redefine security and what it means to us.

Looking Back: Aries/Libra Opposition Dates

Just as this Scorpio-Taurus ride kicks off a seven year process, we’re also completing another (8 year) chapter. The previous storyline is of Venus in Libra opposing Chiron in Aries. Our final hit of Libra-Aries occurs at the end of October. Here we’re exploring themes of dependence and free will in relationships. We may be growing into our autonomy or neglecting it in favor of keeping the peace:

Mercury in Libra Generates A Flowing Air Trine of Social Stimuli

At the same time that Venus is seriously shifting gears, Mercury slips into Libra, ruled by Venus herself. This creates a fascinating mental tie back to the deep work of Venus in Scorpio. Our ruling planet of communication is wearing diplomatic scales, taking on the place of Venus as our goddess of Desire plunges into the abyss.

Mercury in Libra brings a diplomatic, relational intelligence that approaches communication through the lens of balance, symmetry, and mutual understanding. Ruled by Venus, this placement is inherently tuned into the nuances of other people’s perspectives. It’s an exceptional energy for negotiation, mediation, and finding common ground. Rather than rushing to blunt conclusions, Mercury in Libra weighs every option carefully. He seeks harmony and aesthetic grace in how ideas are exchanged. Yet, this graceful detachment can sometimes tip into hesitation or over-intellectualizing conflict. In an effort to keep the peace, we may trade raw honesty for pleasant equilibrium.

Uranus Stations Retrograde: Internal Rewiring

As we navigate the fresh adjustments of Venus, Mercury, and Chiron, Uranus brings in a massive internal reorientation. The great awakener stations Retrograde in Gemini on the day of the New Moon, turning those electric air-waves inward.

If the recent months felt like your mind was flooded with too many open tabs, Uranus backing up in Gemini is the cosmic cue to pause and close them out one by one. This isn’t about gathering more data. It’s time to digest the sheer volume of mental shifts, downloads, and sudden realizations you’ve accumulated. The voltage drops from a scattered hum to a deep, resonant frequency. Rethink how you process information, where you’re leaking mental energy, and what beliefs you’re ready to update.

A brilliant, flowing Air trine between Mercury in Libra, Pluto in Aquarius, and stationing Uranus acts as your mental escape hatch during this transition. Instead of getting bogged down in emotional noise, this configuration grants you great objective distance. It offers the mental agility to step back and look at your own thought patterns from a bird’s eye view. From this perspective, you can experience those sudden, flashing breakthroughs out of nowhere. It gives you the clarity to untangle old mental loops and step into a much sharper, lighter way of thinking.

Chiron re-enters Aries (September 17)

Chiron only just entered Taurus back in June, 2026. This period from June through mid-September has acted as a preview of the times to come. We had a brief taste of Taurus-led themes focusing on material security, physical comfort, and foundational values. But as Chiron stations Retrograde (having kicked off his backspin on August 3rd) and slips back into Aries on September 17, we are being pulled back into old territory.

From September 17 through April 14, Chiron allows us a final review period to ensure we have fully integrated the deep, sometimes uncomfortable lessons of Aries regarding identity, autonomy, and the courage to take up space. Because Chiron is Retrograde until January 6, these themes are coming back up for internal audit. With Chiron re-entering this sign in the lead-up to the Full Moon in Aries, this is a time of culmination. We are healing the wounds of the warrior and integrating the lessons learned on this front since 2018.

You can also look back on the last New Moon in Aries that we had on April 17, 2026. If something in your life began or developed at that time, between mid-April and mid-May, that seed is coming fully to fruition now. Think on it in terms of Aries themes, and see how this is related to your own healing journey. Is this new beginning a result of the work you’ve done on the topic of Aries in your chart?

Mabon (September 22): The Second Harvest Balancing Point

As the Sun crosses the threshold into Libra, we arrive at the Autumn Equinox — traditionally celebrated as Mabon. This is the festival of the second harvest, a sacred midpoint where day and night hang in perfect equilibrium. It’s a time to take stock of what we’ve cultivated, developed, and nurtured in our lives since Spring. We can offer genuine gratitude for the fruits of our labor while keeping our eyes on the horizon. We look forward to the final, quiet preparation of the third harvest, trusting in our bounty as the wheel turns fully into the dark.

As the Sun steps into relational, balanced Libra, he instantly encounters an opposition to Neptune in fiery, passionate Aries. This aspect blurs the line between our wishes and objective reality. It asks us to hold space for our spiritual or imaginative visions without losing our grip on practical ground.

Offering a profound anchor amidst this opposition, the Sun forms a harmonious trine to transformative Pluto in Aquarius. This trine gives us the personal power, psychological depth, and quiet resilience to metabolize the changes. We must clear out what no longer serves us and step firmly into a new state of balance.

Full Moon in Aries (September 26): Between Dreams & Reality

We hit the culmination of the Lunar cycle with the Full Moon in Aries, and she is sandwiched right between Saturn and Neptune, but only a few degrees apart from the latter. While Saturn demands fearless attention to stark realities, the Full Moon conjunct Neptune is fiercely energized by a dream. We feel an inner yearning and a pull toward freedom and independence. She wants to move forward unimpeded, but must come up against the obstacles Saturn insists on throwing in her way.

The real narrative tension of this lunation, however, belongs to the ruler of the chart: Mars at the final anaretic degree of Cancer, exactly square Chiron sitting at the final degree of Aries. Because Mars rules Aries, this is a massive, high-stakes confrontation. The anaretic degree is a point of crisis, completion, and holding on before a forced turning. It brings up core wounds around autonomy, identity, and courage. We must address the sore spot of Mars square Chiron before we can move forward.

This square isn’t here to punish us; it’s asking us to finally look at where we’ve been defensively armoring ourselves, offering a final chance to stitch up that old warrior wound so we don’t carry it into the fire of the next cycle.

Mars Enters Leo (September 27): Return of Bold Vitality

That explosive Mars-Chiron square acts as the ultimate energetic clearing-house, sweeping away old baggage just in time for a major thematic shift. Mars leaves cautious, protective Cancer and roaring into vibrant, expressive Leo.

After months of defensive maneuvering and emotional processing, Mars in Leo lights a bonfire under our creative output, our personal passions, and our drive to take up space. Our energy moves from guarded and indirect to warm, radiant, and unapologetically Out Loud. It’s an invitation to channel the breakthroughs of the Aries Full Moon straight into your self-expression. Lean into heart-centered leadership and creative sovereignty, reminding us how to play, create, and lead with our whole chest.

Full Moon in Capricorn: The 3 of Pentacles – “Works” (July 2023 Astrology)

3 of Pentacles

How to Use The 3 of Pentacles Series for Full Moon in Capricorn Magick

The 3 of Pentacles is the Lord of Material Works. This is the middle decan of Capricorn, where we have our Full Moon on July 3, 2023.

The Full Moon in Capricorn comes on the heels of an illuminating Mercury Cazimi. This is a lucky time for Mercury when he reaches his Full phase and unites with the Sun.

During the Full phase of the Moon – exact at 4:39am PDT on Monday morning (the 3rd) – Mercury is ahead of the Sun already by 3 degrees. Despite the fact that Mercury Cazimi’s over, the energy of that Cazimi is baked right into the Full Moon. The Full Moon is built on its enlightening and energizing momentum.

The Cazimi energy heightens awareness, leading to insights and revelations about intimacy and our relationships. We’re called to think deeply about what bonds are really the most important to us. To focus our energy on protecting and nurturing those connections. The Full Moon also heightens our awareness of how we can work together to build something of lasting value.

The Energy Leading into the Full Moon

A Blessing from Jupiter and a Motivating Fire Trine

The Mercury Cazimi at 9° 8′ Cancer on June 30th is especially fortunate. It’s in a helpful sextile relationship with good-hearted Jupiter, potentially opening us up to some lucky opportunities. The Sun and Mercury are harmonizing with disciplined Saturn, too. This provides ease with setting boundaries and developing an intuitive container or system that’s going to work for you.

The current communications cycle began on May 1st. At that time, Mercury was retrograde in Taurus, associated with the steady, rhythmic flow of the universe. Our mental focus has been on reciprocity, ensuring that there’s an equal give and take in relationships and at work.

Now at his full phase, Mercury meets with the royal Sun in the first decan of Cancer. This part of the Zodiac’s associated with the Love card in the Tarot. The 2 of Cups represents the deep bond of trust and intimacy. It can be a romance, a mom and her baby, or any two souls meeting each other in divinity.

This is followed by a nice Fire trine with the building Moon in active Sagittarius. She applies to Venus-Mars in heroic Leo, and Chiron in independent Aries. It’s a lot of upward energy with forward momentum. It can feel energizing and motivating as it stirs up all this energy and action.

A Preview of What’s to Come: Venus in Leo Square Uranus

Venus in Leo squares Uranus on July 2nd. This invites Full Moon drama to creep in that may be associated with your Venus Retrograde journey to come. Venus Retrograde is right around the corner. The goddess of love, beauty and pleasure in her pre-retrograde shadow phase from June 19 until she stations on July 22.

This means that this Full Moon drama with Venus and Uranus is part of a 3-act show. Pay special attention to any big revelations, strange occurrences, or surprises now. Look to your relationships, business dealings, or thinking about money, art, and things of value. This rambunctious transit will happen again on August 9, and one final time after the Retrograde on September 29.

New Moon in Capricorn: 3 of Pentacles, “Works” (January 2022)

New Moon in Capricorn

New Moon in Capricorn

The first New Moon of the year is on January 2 in Capricorn (at 12° 20′, falling in the middle decan). The Tarot card for this Moon is the 3 of Pentacles, Lord of Material Works.

With Jupiter having just ingressed into Pisces on December 28th, he now sits at the South Node bending, in a 90° square to the karmic lunar nodes. During this lunar cycle he will encourage and support our soul growth by helping us release the past. His position in the first decan of Pisces tells a story of moving away from a difficult situation, seeking a spiritual solo journey that moves us away from stagnation.

There is a strong emphasis on Earth element energy as we begin the new year. The New Moon examines the same territory as Venus Retrograde which will be a dominant factor this month. This energy harmonizes with Uranus in Taurus, who will station Direct shortly, tying into a larger theme of change we’ve been experiencing since 2018-19.

Mercury is also in relation to the Nodes at this time and preparing to station Retrograde in Aquarius. This will be similar to last year’s Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius, except that it dips back into Capricorn, bringing Hermes the messenger into the New Moon / Venus Retrograde story as well.

Full Moon in Gemini & December 2021 Astrology

Full Moon in Gemini

Full Moon in Gemini (December 18)

The Full Moon this month is in Gemini at 27° 28′. This is a culmination of the Total Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius. It ties back to the Solar Eclipse in Gemini on June 10th.

During this Mercury-ruled Full Moon, Mercury squares Chiron, who is in the middle of stationing Direct. Important conversations can be very illuminating at this time. New information may come to light that has been brewing under the surface since the Solar Eclipse. This info relates directly to our Chiron story of inner wounding and will propel us to take a stand for ourselves. But it also has a lot to do with Venus Retrograde.

Third Decan of Gemini: The 10 of Swords

The story here is of shedding an old way of thinking. We have to adapt, as we’ve come to a place where what we once thought to be true is no longer the case. This is the end of a worldview that we’ve held, which can come as a betrayal. From here we have to rebuild, and the Venus Retrograde will help us figure out what is most important from here.

Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius: Starting from Scratch – December 2021

Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius

Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius

The New Moon in Sagittarius on December 3-4 is a Total Solar Eclipse! This powerful Eclipse falls on the side of the South Node, a karmic release point associated with the past. So get ready to PURGE. Things empty out at the South Node. But for some this emptying out is a source of power. What new form will you take when you give yourself that fresh start? A new year is coming, in more ways than one (I’m looking at you, Jupiter in Pisces)!

With Sagittarius, you have to trust your gut and take a leap of faith knowing that you’ll catch the wind. But this new beginning comes as a result of clearing the way for something. Chances are you’ve already felt it, as we’re nearing the end to this story (this whole lunar cycle being the final chapter). Sometimes we have to get to the bottom before we can find our way back up to the top.

The Sun and Moon are in the middle section of Sagittarius. Zeus, the glowing king of the gods, commands Sagittarius overall. During this lunar cycle, Jupiter splashes into Pisces – a major upgrade for him, as it’s his other abode (cue the Angel choir). We saw a glimpse of this magical energy when Jupiter was in Pisces for a short stint this Summer (exact dates being May 13 – July 28).

Ever the optimist, Zeus is happy to lift us up and to see us through a tough time, even as we nurse our battle wounds. It isn’t easy emptying out before you can fill back up. Shed your skin willingly, though, and you can decide what happens next.

New Moon in Scorpio Lunar Cycle (November 2021)

New Moon in Scorpio

New Moon in Scorpio 2021

The New Moon in Scorpio is on November 4, 2021. This Lunation is the beginning of Eclipse season, with our first Eclipse on the Scorpio/Taurus axis falling on November 19. The New Moon in Scorpio is directly opposite unconventional Uranus. Follow that up with a partial Lunar Eclipse in Taurus, and November 2021 Astrology is fairly electric. It will spotlight the ongoing Uranus in Taurus stories unfolding in each of our lives.

The cycle begins in the middle decan of Scorpio, with magnanimous Sun and Jupiter ruling this portion of the sign. The 6 of Cups is the soft underbelly of Scorpio, playful and nostalgic, recalling our inner child. With the middle decan of Taurus opposite (the 6 of Pentacles), there is a reminder of the importance of reciprocity. There has to be a give and take, and equal energy exchange in all that we do.

Venus is in the final degree of Sagittarius during the New Moon, changing signs on the following day. Within this lunar cycle, she will begin her shadow period preceding Venus Retrograde in Capricorn. This period is a precursor to Venus Retrograde. It’s made all the more important by Venus’ rulership over the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus later in the month.

November 2021 Astrology: Scorpio Season

November 2021 Astrology

November 2021 Astrology

November 2021 Astrology features the beginning of Eclipse season, with a New Moon in Scorpio and a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus.

Mercury clears the shadow of last month’s retrograde just ahead of the New Moon early in the month. The swift-footed one is finally moving on from the prolonged conversation and balancing act he’s been at in Libra. On the 5th of the month, he plunges headlong into the cold waters of Scorpio just on the heels of the Sun and the Moon.

Now we are once again entering new territory. We know it when Mercury and Venus change signs – from active modalities to passive-receptive modalities – on the same day.

Venus leaves fiery Sagittarius in favor of the more reserved and cautious terrain of Capricorn also on the 5th. Here she prepares for next month’s Venus Retrograde in Capricorn, a period of review and reconfiguring of relationships, finances, values and valuables. The shadow period for her Retrograde cycle begins on November 17th.

The second half of November 2021 Astrology sees Mercury moving swiftly on to wax philosophical in Sagittarius. The Sun will of course lead the way just ahead of Mercury, beginning Sagittarius season on November 21 this year.
