Chiron First Enters Taurus (June 19 – September 17, 2026)

The Wound is fresh! Chiron has left the hyper-separated arena of Aries for its first foray into the Earthen, muddy terrain of slow and dedicated Taurus. From June 19 to September 17, 2026, we get our first taste of this new ground.

Taurus is the sign of building, fortifying, and guarding boundaries. It is the literal fortress, the earthen wall, the tangible resource. It is the boundary that says “what is mine is safe, and I will hold my ground.”

Moving from Aries into Taurus, we shift from the fight of Aries to the deep, protective consolidation of Taurus. Where have your protective walls become rigid? Where are you stagnant, or driven by a scarcity mindset? The goal here is to build secure, sustainable boundaries.

Chiron Turns Retrograde (August 3, 2026 – January 6, 2027)

This month Chiron stations Retrograde in Taurus on August 3rd. This turns that sticky need-for-healing energy inward for the first time. Now it has a chance to percolate and deepen its charge.

A number of transits in August 2026 point back at this Chiron undercurrent. Right in the middle of the intensity of Eclipse season, we see the inner planets entering new signs and immediately encountering the wounded centaur:

• Mercury will square Chiron on August 9th directly after entering Leo.
• Mars forms a helpful sextile to Chiron — on the day of the Solar Eclipse in Leo — after he moves into Cancer.
• The Sun and Mercury will both trine Chiron directly after moving into Virgo, ushering in the end of Summer.
• What’s more, the Mercury Cazimi in Virgo — which happens on the day of Lunar Eclipse in Pisces — is in a harmonious trine to Chiron in Taurus.

With Mercury, the Sun, Mars, and both Eclipses pointing back to Chiron Retrograde in Taurus, August becomes a month of deepening into internal processing and anchoring the body through slow, intentional movement.

Chiron will return to Aries from September 17, 2026 to April 14, 2027, having stationed direct on January 6. Then we will have a Chiron in Taurus lockdown until July 19, 2033. For this 6-year period, the wounded one will lock in for his uninterrupted, deep-tissue evolutionary run in Taurus. After 3 months in Gemini, he’ll have one final clearance through the Taurean mountains. That last piece of the puzzle runs from October 23, 2033 to May 5, 2034.
