An Ode to Venus: October 2026 Astrology is a Drama for the Ages

October 2026 Astrology is dominated by Venus Retrograde in Scorpio and Libra. The tale she spins is no solo act, however; she’s brought an entire ensemble along for the descent.

Mercury plays the lead detective on her case, entering the Shadow of his Retrograde the day following Venus’s Station — and both are in Scorpio. Mercury’s own Retrograde passage then begins towards the end of the month.

As the clever Hermes prepares to tail Venus, the mysterious High Priestess of the Moon revolves around her. Both lunations this month — the New Moon in Libra and the Full Moon in Taurus — are Venusian by nature. With both Moons under her spell, we are alert to the heavy, important work of the percolating subconscious. The Full Moon also coincides with Venus’s passage from Scorpio back into Libra.

The Solar deity is shining brilliantly this month, ruling over Jupiter and Mars, and activating the rare, ongoing Pluto-Uranus Air trine. But the moment he leaves Libra is the moment Venus reaches his throne. Their fusion is decidedly Scorpionic in nature.

Venus-Ruled Lunations: Equilibrium & Reciprocity

V. The Hierophant: Venus in Taurus Candle Tin

The Hierophant candle was astrologically elected and created in ritual under the regal authority of an Exalted Luna and Domicile Venus in Taurus. The Moon is in a high-volatile aspect to benevolent, wealth-expanding Jupiter, with an exalted Sun ruling the chart from the Midheaven. This formula works to unify the throat and heart chakras, creating an open channel for an empowering voice, unshielded communication, and the absolute power of speaking from the heart.

VIII. Justice 2.0: Venus in Libra Candle Tin

Venus in Libra 2.0 is the second release of the VIII. Justice candle series. The first edition is from 2020 with a different election and darker color. This form of Justice leans heavier on the ylang ylang, is of a lighter minty color, and features Moon in Libra applying to Venus in Libra + Jupiter in Aquarius. It has a softer nature that will surely melt you.

VIII. Justice 1.0: Venus in Libra / Full Moon in Taurus Votive Candle

Venus at home in her fair sign of Libra is at the heart of this election. The goddess of love and beauty also rules an exalted, nearly Full Moon in Taurus here. This blend has an enchanted, mystical feeling associated with the fact that it was made in ritual on Samhain, under an exalted Full Moon in Taurus. The dark green soy wax melts into a nearly black pool of forest green that feels like a midnight walk in the woods.

Mars in Leo Provides Passion & Strength

XI. Lust: Venus in Leo Candle Tin

With the Lust candle, we are called to integrate and listen more closely to our animal selves. Venus in Leo conjunct Mars in Leo encourages us to draw on that melty orange magma lantern – the intoxicating, burning grail chalice of initiation. Pour passionate energy into your creative works. Partake in the joy and happiness that comes from exercising your will. Allow vitality and creative power to course through you.
